Adhesions in the exterior subtalar joint line (meniscoid syndrome)

Injury to the capsule of the subtalar joint involving damage to the subtalar ligaments located in immediate proximity to the capsule may lead to adhesion in the exterior subtalar joint line during the healing phase.

Lateral movement (supination and pronation) of the upper subtalar joint can cause pain in the ankle.

Possible therapies
The therapy involves removal of the adhesion, which is carried out by minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques.
